Ma­jor Atom AAA Petes ex­tend un­beaten streak to 12 games with two wins

The Cana­dian Hockey En­ter­prises/ Rus­selle Chi­ro­prac­tic Ma­jor Atom AAA Petes ex­tended their un­beaten streak in ETA league play to 12 (10-0-2) on the week­end.

Re­turn­ing home af­ter a lengthy time on the road, the AAA Petes beat the Ajax-Pick­er­ing Raiders 3-0 on Satur­day and the Kingston Jr. Fron­te­nacs 9-3 on Sun­day at the Ev­in­rude Cen­tre.

On Satur­day, Owen Fitzger­ald led the way scor­ing two goals with a sin­gle to Cam­den Burke. As­sists went to Burke, Ben Bowen, Nate Gere­lus and Quinn Ja­cobs. Lewis Brock­le­hurst was out­stand­ing earn­ing the shutout.

On Sun­day, Bowen recorded four goals, Burke net­ted three with sin­gles to Tyler Bolton and Nolan Ma­son. As­sists went to Ry­der Perry and Colin Fitzger­ald with two each and Holden Ruther­ford and Owen Fitzger­ald one each. Masen Johnston earned the win with stel­lar net mind­ing.

The Ma­jor Atom AAA Petes are cur­rently first over­all in the ETA with a record of 10-1-2. Next league ac­tion is Satur­day ver­sus the York Sim­coe Ex­press in Aurora at 7 p.m.
