Code Orange de­clared over at Ross Memo­rial Hospi­tal

LIND­SAY — Ross Memo­rial Hospi­tal in Lind­say lifted its in­ter­nal Code Orange ef­fec­tive at 3 p.m. Wed­nes­day.

The Code Orange was is­sued Tues­day morn­ing be­cause of pa­tient over­load af­ter the 158-bed hospi­tal was up to 199 pa­tients, in­clud­ing 20 wait­ing in the Emer­gency Depart­ment.

The hospi­tal says it main­tained nor­mal op­er­a­tions through­out the Code Orange, which the hospi­tal de­scribes as a a pro­ce­dure to co-or­di­nate safe and ef­fec­tive pa­tient care.
