Pastoral/Spiritual Care Week set for Oct. 16-22
Pastoral Care Week is being celebrated in Twillingate this week.
The annual event is an opportunity to recognize the contribution clergy and caregivers provide for people in the hospital and long- term care facility in Twillingate.
The theme for the week is Spiritual Resilience.
Pastor Raymond Hull, one of five clergy in the area and serves as co- chair of the Pastoral Care committee said, “Clergy provide a vital role for patients and not just the clergy, but caregivers as well.”
Members of the clergy have a special treat planned for the long- term care residents and staff of Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre morrow.
They will be cooking homemade beef stew with garden fresh vegetables and toutons for lunch. Following lunch, a sing- a- long will be held.
“Everyone always enjoys the event,” Hull said. “It’s a good time of fellowship and fun.” christy. janes@ pilotnl. ca to-
