Lori McCarthy led participants on a seaside stroll to learn about local edible plants during the recent Twillin- gate Unscripted Festival. The journey culminated with a lunch cooked over a fire on the beach.

The menu included chanterelle mushrooms served on toasted home- made bread, moose smoke on juniper, fish stew, scones with strawberry, rhubarb jam and rose petal sugar.
