Life’s a beach
Twillingate Unscripted Festival takes to the beach
Cooking up a feed and enjoying what Mother Nature has to offer.
Lori McCarthy led participants on a seaside stroll to learn about local edible plants during the recent Twillin- gate Unscripted Festival. The journey culminated with a lunch cooked over a fire on the beach.
The menu included chanterelle mushrooms served on toasted home- made bread, moose smoke on juniper, fish stew, scones with strawberry, rhubarb jam and rose petal sugar.
Who would have guessed you could have a five-star meal on the beach?
