RECIPE Canadian Toast
Cooking with the Market recipe for Canadian Toast as opposed to French Toast Ingredients: – 2 thick slices of bread – 3 tbsp olive oil – 4 eggs, beaten – 100 g shaved ham – Salt & pepper, chopped parsley, Italian herb seasoning Preparation: – In a shallow dish soak bread slices in egg, for a few minutes each both sides
– Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan and cook both pieces of soaked bread until golden brown, turn over and repeat on other side
– Mix shaved ham in the dish with remaining egg – Remove bread from pan, set aside – Add a tbsp of olive oil in pan and pour ham/ egg mixture in pan on medium heat
– Immediately place the two slices of bread on top, divide ham/egg in two portions and cook – Sprinkle with Italian herb seasoning, serve hot and garnish with parsley.
