Bryan Adams re­leases new al­bum

TORONTO — Bryan Adams is plan­ning a new al­bum in what has al­ready been a busy year for the Run To You rocker.

The Kingston, Ont.-born mu­si­cian pegged Nov. 3 for the re­lease of Ul­ti­mate, his first stu­dio ef­fort in two years.

Adams teased fans with a 20-sec­ond clip of the pop bal­lad Please Stay on Face­book, while say­ing the sin­gle will be re­leased on Oct. 13.

He didn’t of­fer any more de­tails about the al­bum but promised more in­for­ma­tion would be com­ing soon.

Adams has been keep­ing a packed con­cert sched­ule.

Last week­end he played the In­vic­tus Games clos­ing cer­e­mony along­side Bruce Spring­steen.

Ear­lier this year, he co-hosted the Juno Awards with co­me­dian Rus­sell Peters be­fore clos­ing the tele­cast with a multi-gen­er­a­tional su­per­group ver­sion of Sum­mer of ’69 that in­cluded Sarah McLach­lan and Alessia Cara. Adams is also work­ing on the songs for a new Broad­way mu­si­cal based on Ju­lia Roberts film Pretty Woman due in late 2018.

He’s do­ing all of this while in the midst of a world tour for his 2015 al­bum Get Up, though he was forced to can­cel an up­com­ing show in Puerto Rico in the wake of hur­ri­cane Maria.
