“We had some re­ally good chances, es­pe­cially short­handed. O’Brien and (Josh) Cur­tis were mak­ing some stuff hap­pen, some magic there and just didn’t fin­ish it off. Our penalty-kill was fan­tas­tic (the Rock­ets went 0-for-5 on the power play). We didn’t give up many shots and our power play, once we got in the zone, was pretty good.”

LOOSE PUCKS: The World U-17 tour­na­ment starts Sun­day, Nov. 5 in Daw­son Creek with Team Canada White tak­ing on Team Canada Black. The pre-tour­na­ment sched­ule gets un­der­way on Thurs­day.

Rock­ets de­fence­man Kae­den Kor­czuk has been picked to play for Canada Black. For­mer Prince Ge­orge mi­nor hockey prod­uct Ja­son LaBar­bera will serve as the goal­tend­ing coach for Canada Black.
