Suzuki drives OHL past Rus­sia

SUD­BURY, Ont. (CP) — Nick Suzuki scored twice, in­clud­ing the win­ner, and added an as­sist as the On­tario Hockey League all-stars beat Rus­sia 4-2 on Mon­day in Game 4 of the Su­per Series.

Conor Tim­mins and Kevin Bahl also found the back of the net as the OHL reeled off three unan­swered goals. Michael DiPi­etro made 23 saves for the win.

An­drey Al­ty­bar­makyan and Dmitry Sokolov replied for Rus­sia. Vladislav Sukhachev stopped 26-of-30 shots in 44:40 of work be­fore be­ing re­placed by Alexey Mel­nichuk, who turned aside all three shots he faced.

A team of all-stars from the Que­bec Ma­jor Ju­nior Hockey League will host the Rus­sians tonight in Char­lot­te­town and in Monc­ton on Thurs­day. The best-of-six series is cur­rently tied 2-2.
