Oprah Winfrey loves to get cosy at home in clothing from two local companies.

The popular lifestyle guru has selected two products — slipper socks and a sleep shirt — sold by two Metro Vancouver-based firms for Oprah’s Favourite Things List 2017.

Included on Oprah’s list of 105 items is a pair of Pudus red plaid slipper socks, which Oprah says are “cosy” and a great gift for anyone from toddlers to grandmas.

Pudus was founded in 2015 by the same family behind Dr. Segal’s compression socks. CEO Randi Segal says he’s thrilled that Pudus “has found its way from our roots in Vancouver all the way to Oprah.”

Vancouver-based The Sleep Shirt also made Oprah’s list, with its cotton short sleep shirt and long nightshirt, both in blue Oxford stripe.

Oprah says she would relax in the sleepwear at home or wear it as a cover-up.

“There might even be a few people who would actually sleep in it,” she says in O Magazine.

Brand founder Alexandra Suhner Isenberg said in a statement that they are “honoured” to be selected by Winfrey and her team.

The Favourite Things List is featured in the December issue of O Magazine.

Red plaid slipper socks created by Vancouver-based company Pudus are on Oprah’s Favourite Things List 2017.
