Yellow means stop

-

Re: Recent letters on yellow intersection lights.

The Motor Vehicle Act says a driver must stop for a yellow light “unless that stop cannot be made in safety.” That means your stop will be in the intersection, where you can’t stay. If there is a red light, the driver must stop.

When drivers use a yellow light as a signal to speed up, especially if they exceed the speed limit, it’s little wonder we pay the fees we do to register and insure vehicles in this province.

Don’t get me started with the complainers of photo radar. If you don’t speed, the government doesn’t get your money.
