First team bronze goes to Canada

Canada cap­tured bronze in the in­au­gu­ral team event Thurs­day at the world tram­po­line cham­pi­onships in St. Peters­burg, Rus­sia. The Cana­dian squad fea­tured two-time Olympic cham­pion Rosie Ma­cLen­nan of King City, Ont., Ja­son Bur­nett of Toronto, Jeremy Chartier of Mon­treal, Michael Chaves of Oakville, Ont., Ja­cob Cran­ham of Whitby, Ont., Zoe Lynn Hipel of Aurora, Ont., Sarah Milette of Longueuil, Que., Lau­rence Roux of Laval, Que., and Jon Sch­waiger of Cal­gary. The event com­bines for men’s and women’s in­di­vid­ual tram­po­line, syn­chro­nized tram­po­line, tum­bling and dou­ble mini-tram­po­line. Ma­cLen­nan had the high­est score in women’s in­di­vid­ual and com­bined with Milette for the top score in syn­chro.
