What’s new at the li­brary

On Aug. 21 at the Thomas H. Rad­dall Li­brary in Liver­pool, the movie fea­ture will be Kim Pos­si­ble: So the Drama, star­ring Raven-Sy­moné and Christy Carl­son Ro­mano. Dr. Drakken has an evil new plot for world dom­i­na­tion, but his ul­ti­mate suc­cess de­pends upon find­ing out KP’s weak­ness which may in­volve a new hot­tie at Mid­dle­ton High School.

Will KP fi­nally have to sur­ren­der to Drakken once and for all? Kids aged eight and up are wel­come to at­tend the movie which will be­gin at 1:30 p.m. Drop-ins are wel­come.

South Shore Pub­lic Li­braries will once again of­fer Tale Spin­ners; an early lit­er­acy pro­gram de­signed to give care­givers and chil­dren un­der four an early start to ac­quir­ing lit­er­acy skills. Tale Spin­ners ses­sions will be­gin this fall in var­i­ous lo­ca­tions along the South Shore. This three ses­sion pro­gram in­cludes fin­ger­plays, sto­ries, rhymes and songs to help in­tro­duce ba­bies to the world of read­ing.

Par­ents or care­givers and their young charges will re­ceive a board book, li­brary card and other in­for­ma­tional hand­outs. Tale Spin­ners is FREE and is gen­er­ously spon­sored by the United Way of Lunen­burg County.
