John Pitblado & John Roblee 2. Leo Langevin & Bud Wefer 3. Elinor Green & Marian Crosby East / West: 1. Elva Bagnall & Daisy Frail 2. Betty Kennedy & Marcia Clark 3. Jean Silver & Marg Mosher North/South: The early rounds of play were lacking points for the “John-John” team. Things changed dramatically in Round 4. They bid two game contracts and a small slam to make seven. That round alone gave them 45% of their total score. They continued on, adding an extra 5 game and 2 partial game contracts to their total. Well Done!
East/West: Elva Bagnall & Daisy Frail took their opportunities whenever they could. Playing 7 game and 4 partial games contracts, it was a significant double in Round 3 that gave their score the additional boost needed to top the division.
Honourable mention: is extended to the team of Beryl Hatt & Sarah Peterson for making a small slam of 6 NT. It has been reported that this slam was bid by Sarah and played by Beryl, her “First”. Congratulations!
