People can call toll-free to book some time with nature once again this summer. Nova Scotia’s provincial park reservation lines will open Monday, April 2.

“Nova Scotia parks have much in store for families, nature enthusiasts, and tourists,” said Natural Resources Minister Charlie Parker. “Government has been investing in our park system so park users have even better facilities and opportunities to experience the wonders of being close to nature.”

Visitors can choose sites within camping parks by accessing the reservation system online or by phone at 1-888-544-3434, between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Service is available in English and French.

Provincial parks provide not just camping but attractions for all ages and activities for everyone, from the observer to the experienced outdoors person. Provincial beach parks, day-use parks, and many trails, are also popular elements of the provincial parks system.

Day-use provincial parks operate from Victoria Day weekend, May 19, until Thanksgiving Day weekend, Oct. 6. Opening dates for camping parks vary by park, with openings in May and June and closings in September and October.
