Five ar­rested on drug charges in Liver­pool

Queens Dis­trict RCMP, as­sisted by the Shel­burne Street Crime En­force­ment Unit and the Yar­mouth Po­lice Ser­vice Dog Unit, ar­rested five peo­ple for drug re­lated of­fences in Liver­pool.

On the evening of Fri­day March 30, RCMP ar­rested four men, a 17-year-old from East Port Med­way, a 21-year-old from Mil­ton, and a 19-year-old and 28-year-old from Liver­pool. Seized was a quan­tity of mar­i­huana and hy­dro­mor­phine, a small amount of cash and drug para­pher­na­lia. The men are charged with Traf­fick­ing and Pos­ses­sion.

On the morn­ing of Sun­day April 1st, a 16-year-old fe­male was ar­rested and po­lice seized a quan­tity of mar­i­huana and drug para­pher­na­lia. The 28-year-old male from Liver­pool pre­vi­ously ar­rested on March 30th was ar­rested and charged a sec­ond time with Traf­fick­ing.

These ar­rests are part of a fo­cused drug en­force­ment ef­fort in the down­town area of Liver­pool.

The in­di­vid­u­als are sched­uled ap­pear in Liver­pool Court on June 12.
