The Queens County Advance - - COMMUNITY - BY AETHNE HINCHLIFFE

LIVERPOOL, NS – Queens County residents learned to paint like Maud recently.

On July 22, as a fundraiser for the Astor Theatre, a special art workshop was held with Julie Babin and Deb Sponagle-taylor. Participants had the opportunity to do work inspired by Maud Lewis, one of Canada’s best-known folk artists, who called Digby home.

The event coincided with a second showing of the popular film Maudie at the Astor Theatre.
