68, of Liver­pool, Queens County, passed away on Mon­day, Septem­ber 4th, 2017, at the QEII Health Sciences Cen­tre, V.G. Site, Hal­i­fax. Born in West Dublin, he was a son of the late Lor­raine and El­iz­a­beth (Oickle) Sperry. Above all else, Doug was most pas­sion­ate about his fam­ily and spend­ing time with them. He also en­joyed hunt­ing, fish­ing, play­ing cards and morn­ing trips to Tim Hor­ton’s. He is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife, Robin; daugh­ter, Stephanie Zwicker (Syd Whynot), of Liver­pool; sons, Allen (Dawn), of Brook­lyn, Michael (Brenda), of Dart­mouth; grand­chil­dren, Allen Jr., Steven, Jef­frey, Tyson, Mor­gan, Dakota; sis­ters, Donna (Richard) Bol­li­var, of Liver­pool, He­len (Lex) Legge, of Bridge­wa­ter; broth­ers, Robert (Michelle), of Wind­sor, Harold (Jane), of Liver­pool, Ja­son (Tracey), of Hal­i­fax. He was pre­de­ceased by broth­ers, Ver­non and Richard. Cre­ma­tion has taken place un­der the di­rec­tion of Chan­dlers’ Fu­neral Home, Liver­pool. The fam­ily re­ceived friends from
