The Kins­men Club of Prescott is col­lect­ing do­na­tions of food, toys and funds to make the hol­i­day sea­son special for every­one. The club is col­lect­ing in many dif­fer­ent South Grenville com­mu­ni­ties, in­clud­ing Prescott, Riverview Heights, Mait­land, John­stown, May­nard, Car­di­nal and Spencerville, ahead of the Dec. 15 dead­line. The sched­ule for the drives is as fol­lows: Riverview Heights: Wed­nes­day, Nov. 15; Prescott: Fri­day, Nov. 17 at the Light up The Night Pa­rade; Mait­land: Tues­day, Nov. 21 and Wed­nes­day, Nov. 22; John­stown: Tues­day, Nov. 28 and Wed­nes­day, Nov. 29; May­nard: Tues­day, Dec. 5; Car­di­nal: Wed­nes­day, Dec. 6; Spencerville: Wed­nes­day, Dec. 6. For peo­ple wish­ing to be a re­cip­i­ent, reg­is­tra­tions are at the Car­di­nal food bank on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 26,, dur­ing its nor­mal hours of op­er­a­tion. Al­ter­na­tively, peo­ple can regis­ter at the Prescott Town Hall be­tween 1-3 p.m. on Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 and again on Dec. 4 and 5. All items will be col­lected on or be­fore Fri­day, Dec. 15. Hol­i­day bas­kets will be dis­trib­uted to re­cip­i­ents on Satur­day, Dec. 16 at South Grenville District High School.
