Brockville teams win two of three di­vi­sion ti­tles at week­end Ladouceur tour­ney

Two out of three di­vi­sion ti­tles went to Brockville teams at this year’s Roger Ladouceur Me­mo­rial Atom Tour­na­ment.

The Jr. Braves Atom B Rep team won the cham­pi­onship in the Rep B di­vi­sion, with a 4-0 vic­tory over Perth/La­nark on Sunday.

It was all-Brockville in the House B di­vi­sion, as the Jr. Braves B1 House team came out on top in a close 2-1 con­test with the Jr. Braves B2 squad.

The third di­vi­sion cham­pi­onship, House C, went to the South Stor­mont Se­lects C1, who pre­vailed 2-1 in over­time over the South Stor­mont Se­lects C2.

The Brockville C1 team was elim­i­nated in the semi-fi­nals.

The an­nual tour­na­ment, which ran Fri­day through Sunday at the city’s two are­nas. drew 24 teams, said con­vener Bryanna Trower.

The lineup in­cluded one team from Oswego, N.Y., one from the Mon­treal area and a team from Perth, while the rest were from closer to Brockville, she said.

The Brockville Police As­so­ci­a­tion spon­sored the tro­phies.
