Brockville teams win two of three division titles at weekend Ladouceur tourney
Two out of three division titles went to Brockville teams at this year’s Roger Ladouceur Memorial Atom Tournament.
The Jr. Braves Atom B Rep team won the championship in the Rep B division, with a 4-0 victory over Perth/Lanark on Sunday.
It was all-Brockville in the House B division, as the Jr. Braves B1 House team came out on top in a close 2-1 contest with the Jr. Braves B2 squad.
The third division championship, House C, went to the South Stormont Selects C1, who prevailed 2-1 in overtime over the South Stormont Selects C2.
The Brockville C1 team was eliminated in the semi-finals.
The annual tournament, which ran Friday through Sunday at the city’s two arenas. drew 24 teams, said convener Bryanna Trower.
The lineup included one team from Oswego, N.Y., one from the Montreal area and a team from Perth, while the rest were from closer to Brockville, she said.
The Brockville Police Association sponsored the trophies.
