JULY 14, 15: The Rideau Lakes Artists’ As­so­ci­a­tion's Paint The Sum­mer re­turns to Al­go­nquin Col­lege in Perth, 7 Craig Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pop­u­lar “Peo­ple’s Choice” fea­ture will con­tinue, with "The love of Mu­sic" as the theme to co­or­di­nate with the Town of Perth’s Mu­sic Fes­ti­val in Ste­wart Park. Works by lo­cal artists in­clude nee­dle felt­ing, pot­tery, sculp­ture and al­co­hol inks. This year the show will be sup­port­ing In­ter­val House as its char­ity of choice. MAL­LO­RY­TOWN LE­GION EVENTS

MONTHLY: The Royal Cana­dian Le­gion, Branch 484, lo­cated at 13 Quab­bin Road in Mal­lo­ry­town, hosts a break­fast ev­ery morn­ing from Mon­day to Fri­day from 7 to 11 a.m. Ev­ery­one is wel­come. The Le­gion also hosts bingo ev­ery Thurs­day night. Doors open at 5 p.m. and reg­u­lar games start at 6 p.m. Jack­pot starts at 50 num­bers and pro­gresses one num­ber per week un­til won. There’s also a break­fast buf­fet the first Sun­day of ev­ery month at the Le­gion from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Le­gion also hosts a din­ner and dance on the third Sun­day of ev­ery month. There is also a Se­nior and Friends Lunch and Ac­tiv­i­ties the last Fri­day of the month with lunch run­ning 12 to 1:30 p.m. and ac­tiv­i­ties run­ning 2 to 4 p.m.
