The Southern Gazette - - EDITORIAL -

Firefighters and police officers in Marystown took time from their already busy schedules to once again help the com- munity recently.

The Marystown Volunteer Fire Department collected some 36 crates of food and nearly $1,300 during its annual food drive on Nov. 26.

This year, the Burin Peninsula RCMP came on board to lend as- sistance and support.

Donations sites were set up outside Sobeys, No Frills and Wal-Mart in Marystown.

Firefighters and police officers presented the donations to the Sacred Heart Family Aid and Salvation Army foods banks.
