Over 700 butterflies take flight in Marystown
The Dream Fund hosted annual butterfly release July 15
Young children could be seen running through the grass, carefully swooping up butterflies following The Dream Fund’s annual Wings for an Angel butterfly release held at the Marystown Track and Field Complex on July 15.
The event, now in it’s fifth year, helps raise funds utilized by the charity to grant the dreams of critically ill children in Newfoundland and Labrador. Over 700 butterflies were sold locally, with approximately 1700 sold province-wide.
Makayla MacKinnon and her brother Jacob patiently waited as their butterfly prepared to make it’s way to the sky.
