Marystown councillor Rudy Hoskins will be adding her name to the ballot for council in the upcoming municipal election Sept. 26.

Hoskins, who is coming to the end of her first term on council, was elected in 2013. She was also appointed chair of the town’s protection of persons and property committee.

“The last four years have helped provide the knowledge and experience needed to help identify key priorities in developing a comprehensive vision for a vibrant future for the Town of Marystown,” Hoskins wrote in a statement to the Southern Gazette announcing her intention to run. “Economic growth with sustainable development is the pathway to the future we all want.

“By working together, with a shared vision, we can help mold our community’s future.”
