Marys­town Mi­nor Hockey took a week’s break from house league, but were back in full swing Oct. 23, 2017.

The U15 fe­male di­vi­sion was back at it Mon­day night with Re­max tak­ing another win over BDO af­ter a tight game of 3-2 for Re­max.

Sco­tia­bank play­ers of the week for the U15 fe­male di­vi­sion went to Olivia Strick­land of Re­max and to Jayelyn Oake of BDO.

The night con­tin­ued with the old­est fe­male di­vi­sion. Pizza De­light took a loss to Robin’s/2-4-1 with a score of 7-1.

Pizza De­light player of the week was Kayla Ban­field and Robin’s/2-4-1 player of the week was Catherine Wil­liams-Vaters.

The Kaet­lyn Os­mond Arena still had a few spec­ta­tors kick­ing around wait­ing to see Ayl­ward’s Home Hard­ware take on Vallen in the Wally Drakes Truck­ing midget di­vi­sion. Vallen took the fi­nal win of the night with a score of 7-3.

Lion’s Club play­ers of the week were Liam Best of Vallen and Joshua Bar­ron of Ayl­ward’s Home Hard­ware.

The week ramped up with another two games on Thurs­day. The Pike’s Build­ing Cen­tre ban­tam di­vi­sion saw Mary Brown’s tak­ing to the ice with Clear Fo­cus Op­ti­cal. The teams bat­tled back and forth to end the game in a 3-3 tie.

Play­ers of the week were Shaemus Best of Mary Brown’s and Kyle Mur­phy of Clear Fo­cus.

Wally Drake’s Truck­ing midget di­vi­sion had Vallen play­ing its sec­ond game of the week against TD Bank. Vallen took the win again with an 11-4 fi­nal score.

Lion’s Club player of the week was Matthew Chislett of TD Bank.

The McDon­ald’s AtoMc di­vi­sion play­ers couldn’t wait for their game night to fi­nally ar­rive on Fri­day. AtoMc Black and White hit the ice, and the game was back and forth un­til AtoMc White went ahead with a two-goal lead and ended the game with a 6-4 win.

Play­ers of the week were Lu­cas Power of AtoMc Black and Jax­son MacLaugh­lin of AtoMC White.

Grant Thorn­ton pee­wee di­vi­sion anx­iously awaited the Zam­boni to clean the ice to get their game go­ing, with Com­mu­nity Credit Union play­ing Cana­dian Tire. Fans were en­ter­tained with some beauty goals, and in the end Com­mu­nity Credit Union took the win with a 10-8 fi­nal.

Play­ers of the week were Ni­cholas Mur­ray of Com­mu­nity Credit Union and Matthew Hol­lett of Cana­dian Tire.

A great Fri­day night at the arena closed with Cana­dian Tire play­ing The Paint Shop in the U12 fe­male di­vi­sion. It was a great game with some new re­cruits from the Esso Fun Week­end. The girls ended with a 5-5 tie game. Mac­beth & As­so­ciates play­ers of the week were Sara Walsh of Cana­dian Tire and Holly Avery of The Paint Shop.

Tim Hor­tons Tim­bits di­vi­sion named Jensen Coady of the Tim­bit Is­lan­ders, Is­abella Han­nam of the Tim­bit Sharks and Ryan Evans of the Tim­bit Canucks play­ers of the week.

Fol­low­ing right af­ter with house league prac­tice was the novice di­vi­sion. Picco & White play­ers of the week were Ken­dra Clark of Sco­tia­bank, Tan­ner But­ler of Ex­treme Pita/ Ziggy Peel­go­ods, Sa­mual Chilo­pora of Bren­ton Group and Kur­tis Bad­cock of Ho­tel Marys­town.

Af­ter Tim­bits and novice in the morn­ing, house league took a short break Satur­day as ev­ery­one was geared up for their first all-star prac­tices through­out the week­end.

On Sun­day night Wally Drake’s Truck­ing midget di­vi­sion played its fi­nal game of the week, with TD Bank tak­ing the 8-6 win over Ayl­ward’s Home Hard­ware.

Another mo­men­tous week of hockey in the books for Marys­town Mi­nor Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion.
