For the second straight year a group of semi trailers will roll out of Swift Current to join the 12th annual World’s Largest Truck Convoy for Saskatchewan Special Olympics.

The 2018 convoy will again feature a Swift Current to Regina convoy, as well as a Saskatoon to Regina group of vehicles.

During last year’s debut in Swift Current, a trio of semi trucks and a total of six vehicles left the city in the morning and met up with 20 trucks in Moose Jaw to participate in this annual trip to Regina. The first decade of the effort had exclusively been between Saskatoon and Regina. A total of approximately 40 trucks converged on Regina’s Turvey Centre last year.

Activities at the Turvey Centre include a BBQ, bouncy castle and entertainment, plus a truck pull event at 1 p.m.
