Capital investment will improve Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park
A pair of upgrades will be completed at Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park in advance of the 2019 camping season.
The provincial government has announced there will be a campground electrical expansion at the Shady Pine campground in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, and a new digital message sign will also be installed at the park.
The province is spending a total of $1.5 million on facility and infrastructure improvements for parks in the South West during 2018-2019, with other regional projects set for Buffalo Pound Provincial Park (boat launch improvements), Douglas Provincial Park (sewage lagoon upgrades, campground electrical service improvements, plus interpretive displays in a new visitor reception centre), and Danielson Provincial Park (campground electrical service improvements).
Province wide more than $11 million will be spent during 2018-2019 on planned improvements through the provincial park system.
