Cap­i­tal in­vest­ment will im­prove Cy­press Hills In­ter­provin­cial Park

A pair of up­grades will be com­pleted at Cy­press Hills In­ter­provin­cial Park in ad­vance of the 2019 camp­ing sea­son.

The pro­vin­cial gov­ern­ment has an­nounced there will be a camp­ground elec­tri­cal ex­pan­sion at the Shady Pine camp­ground in Cy­press Hills In­ter­provin­cial Park, and a new dig­i­tal mes­sage sign will also be in­stalled at the park.

The prov­ince is spend­ing a to­tal of $1.5 mil­lion on fa­cil­ity and in­fra­struc­ture im­prove­ments for parks in the South West dur­ing 2018-2019, with other re­gional projects set for Buf­falo Pound Pro­vin­cial Park (boat launch im­prove­ments), Dou­glas Pro­vin­cial Park (sewage lagoon up­grades, camp­ground elec­tri­cal ser­vice im­prove­ments, plus in­ter­pre­tive dis­plays in a new vis­i­tor re­cep­tion cen­tre), and Daniel­son Pro­vin­cial Park (camp­ground elec­tri­cal ser­vice im­prove­ments).

Prov­ince wide more than $11 mil­lion will be spent dur­ing 2018-2019 on planned im­prove­ments through the pro­vin­cial park sys­tem.
