“An­nu­ally, just for our team, it gives them the op­por­tu­nity to do some­thing in the com­mu­nity and some­thing that they can be proud of be­cause it’s some­thing that’s ours as Stark & Marsh, and now with In­no­va­tion Credit Union, that re­ally no one else is do­ing.”

And, through the suc­cess of the ini­tia­tive, there are a series of iden­ti­fi­able Go Green project ar­eas around Swift Cur­rent.

“Now you can drive around town and you can see the things you were work­ing on, and the things that you laid your hands to. I think for peo­ple that’s im­por­tant…know­ing that you’ve left some­thing be­hind is im­por­tant in peo­ple’s lives. This is just a small way that we can all do that.”

Moberg also saluted the ded­i­ca­tion of the vol­un­teers for help­ing them have such a pos­i­tive im­pact.

“To get peo­ple back they have to feel good about it,” he said. “So to keep the stay­ing power there has to be a call­ing card to it. And I think that feel­ing that you’re help­ing the com­mu­nity, that you’re ac­tu­ally mak­ing a dif­fer­ent, is key for peo­ple and that’s why they keep com­ing back.”
