Val Marie Rodeo Queen crowned
The 54th Annual Bob Larson Memorial Rodeo took place September 14 and 15, with four girls competing for Rodeo Queen.
The competitors had to carry flags in the rodeo grand entry on Friday and Saturday nights as well as compete in a horsemanship competition on Saturday morning. The crowning of the Queen and the buckle presentations took place at rodeo intermission on Saturday night.
2018 has been our first year having a rodeo queen competition in six years. This year we were lucky enough to have 4 ladies competing: Jaelynn Tschetter of Neville, Jordan Bouvier of Gravelbourg, Victoria Briggs of Maple Creek and Kylee Vangen of Chaplin. These four young ladies worked extremely hard, not only to bring money into a small town rodeo but to help support the sport and lifestyle of rodeo.
The Val Marie Rodeo Queen Committee would like to congratulate Jaelynn Tschetter, of Neville, on winning the 2018 Val Marie Rodeo Queen Title. Runner up, or Princess, of the competition was Jordan Bouvier, of Gravelbourg. Tschetter was also awarded the buckle as our Horsemanship winner.
We are also actively looking for our contestants for the 2019 Val Marie Rodeo Queen competition. If you or someone you know is interested please contact us! We would be happy to answer any questions you have. Check us out on Facebook at “Val Marie Rodeo Queen
