North Shore man charged with driving while suspended
motor vehicle; three counts of driving while disqualified - court order; failing to comply with recognizance; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; failing to stop for police (pursuit); driving while under suspension; use plate not authorized for vehicle; use validation not furnished for vehicle; and speeding 1 - 49 km/h over posted limit.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Blind River Court on Oct. 4.
On Aug. 31, at approximately 5 p.m., East Algoma OPP members were patrolling on Highway 17 in the Township of the North Shore.
Police observed a minivan operating is a suspicious manner. A subsequent traffic stop was conducted and investigation revealed the driver was suspended. This resulted in the male driver charged and his vehicle was towed.
Lucien Salvador, 69 years of age, from the North Shore Township, was charged with: driving while suspended.
The accused is scheduled
