Four ar­rests in drug in­ves­ti­ga­tion

Four peo­ple have been ar­rested fol­low­ing a po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion into co­caine traf­fick­ing. Niagara Re­gional Po­lice say four search war­rants were ex­e­cuted Wed­nes­day, lead­ing to the ar­rests as well as the seizure of 118 grams of co­caine, 97 grams of cannabis resin, drug traf­fick­ing equip­ment in­clud­ing scales, pack­ag­ing ma­te­ri­als, cut­ting agents and cel­lu­lar de­vices. In ad­di­tion, po­lice seized a pro­hib­ited over-ca­pac­ity mag­a­zine from a gun, sev­eral rounds of am­mu­ni­tion, as well as a 2012 Hyundai Sonata car. Each of the sus­pects, An­drew Mac­Don­ald, 28, of Niagara Falls, and St. Catharines res­i­dents Shawn Lan­gen­doen, 31, Corey Scott, 31, and Tara Lynn Baker, 29, face charges of pos­ses­sion of co­caine and cannabis resin for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, and pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited de­vice. Mac­Don­ald also faces a charge of vi­o­la­tion of weapons pro­hi­bi­tion, while Scott faces an ad­di­tional charge of breach of re­cog­ni­zance.
