The Sudbury Star - - NEWS -

The Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce is one of five finalists in the 2017 Chambers competition, an annual competition among chambers of commerce across Canada. The theme of this year’s competition is Telling your Chamber’s story through video. The chamber is being recognized for the videos it produced in order to raise awareness around succession planning. “These videos are the result of the hard work of our chamber volunteers and they should be proud the chamber is a finalist,” Debbi Nicholson, president and CEO of the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, said. “Being selected as a finalist celebrates the fact that our members are forward thinking and finding creative ways to address the challenges facing the business community.” Sudbury is up against the Charlottetown, Langley, Peterborough and Oakville chambers for the award. The finalists will each present at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce AGM in Fredericton, N.B., from Sept. 22-25.
