Horse killed in crash
A horse died in a crash in the Municipality of Kincardine on May 11.
At 8:45 p.m. South Bruce OPP received a report of a collision involving a corn planter being drawn by two horses on SR 15 N in the former Kincardine Township. The horse-drawn corn planter was heading northbound on SR 15 N when it was struck from behind by a northbound pick-up truck, police said in a news release. A 63-year-old Kincardine man who was driving the truck has been charged with careless driving, while the occupants of the buggy were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital. One of the horses was killed in the crash, the news release said.
