Horse killed in crash

A horse died in a crash in the Mu­nic­i­pal­ity of Kin­car­dine on May 11.

At 8:45 p.m. South Bruce OPP re­ceived a re­port of a col­li­sion in­volv­ing a corn planter be­ing drawn by two horses on SR 15 N in the for­mer Kin­car­dine Town­ship. The horse-drawn corn planter was head­ing north­bound on SR 15 N when it was struck from be­hind by a north­bound pick-up truck, po­lice said in a news re­lease. A 63-year-old Kin­car­dine man who was driv­ing the truck has been charged with care­less driv­ing, while the oc­cu­pants of the buggy were treated for non-life threat­en­ing in­juries at a lo­cal hos­pi­tal. One of the horses was killed in the crash, the news re­lease said.
