Catholic school dis­cus­sion meet­ings set

The Bruce- Grey Catholic Dis­trict School Board is hold­ing four meet­ings about their or­ga­ni­za­tion and “com­mit­ment to re­new­ing the prom­ise of Catholic ed­u­ca­tion,” ac­cord­ing to a me­dia re­lease.

The meet­ings are sched­uled on Nov. 15 at St. An­thony’s Catholic School in Kin­car­dine, Nov. 20 at St. Mary’s High School in Owen Sound, Nov. 27 at Sa­cred Heart High School in Walk­er­ton and Jan. 15 at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Port El­gin. All meet­ings will be­gin at 7 p.m. Se­nior staff will pro­vide up­dates on ini­tia­tives in the schools. They also plan to share their plans for the fu­ture.

“Th­ese meet­ings are an op­por­tu­nity for the pub­lic to learn more about the fu­ture of Catholic ed­u­ca­tion in Bruce-Grey,” the board said in the re­lease. “You will hear how we em­power our stu­dents and de­velop strong lead­ers through our com­mit­ment to 21st cen­tury com­pe­ten­cies.”

Meet­ing at­ten­dees are en­cour­aged to bring ques­tions.
