ST. JOHN’S — The St. John’s International Airport had the busiest summer in its history and here is how those numbers stack up:  9.4 per cent growth in summer passenger traffic in 2016 compared to 2015  836,000 passengers travelled through the Airport between May and September this year  Each summer month was a record high for passenger volumes  August was the busiest month in the Airport’s history with nearly 200,000 passengers travelling  8 per cent growth in airline seat capacity in 2016  43 per cent growth in airline seat capacity since 2008
