Washed Up Whale

The Telegram (St. John’s) - - LOCAL - BY ELLA

On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017 a whale washed up on the Outer Cove Beach. It was a male and it had a chunk out of its side. It was really big and every time the tide came in the whale would jiggle.

At first it scared us then it didn’t. We were climbing the rocks and we could see the whale from above.

It was more than 60 feet long.

The whale had lots of germs and chemicals.

The body will get donated to Science. My friends and I got really wet but it was really awesome!

We are sad because the whale died and we don’t know how it happened. But we don’t know and we may never know.
