Body found in Goulds Thurs­day morn­ing

The Royal New­found­land Con­stab­u­lary is in­ves­ti­gat­ing the dis­cov­ery of a body in Goulds on Thurs­day morn­ing.

“The body of a man was found ear­lier in the day in the Dono­van’s Road area of Goulds,” Const. Geoff Hig­don told re­porters Thurs­day af­ter­noon.

“We are work­ing with the med­i­cal ex­am­iner to get more in­for­ma­tion. This is an ongoing in­ves­ti­ga­tion at this time.” Hig­don said there was no in­for­ma­tion avail­able about the iden­tity of the de­ceased, and the na­ture or cause of death has not been de­ter­mined. This may be­come avail­able af­ter an au­topsy is per­formed. He said any­one who has any in­for­ma­tion per­tain­ing to the iden­tity or the na­ture of the death is asked to con­tact the RNC at 729-8000.
