Bad­deck Vol. Fire Dept.

The new Heat Imag­ing Cam­era re­cently pur­chased by the Bad­deck Vol­un­teer Fire Depart­ment has proved its worth once again.

On February 4, BVFD re­sponded to a mu­tual aid alarm from Wagmatcook Fire Depart­ment. BVFD was onsite and stood by as Wagmatcook fire fight­ers con­tained and ex­tin­guished the apart­ment build­ing fire at 10526 Church Loop. The Heat Imag­ing Cam­era was used to de­tect hot spots to as­sist in as­sur­ing the fire was com­pletely ex­tin­guished. BVFD sends its com­pli­ments to Wagmatcook Fire Depart­ment on an ex­cel­lent re­sponse.

On Jan­uary 27, BVFD re­sponded to a power line down and pole on fire at At­lantic Ave. off High­way 205. On February 2, the team re­sponded to a sin­gle car ac­ci­dent St. Ann’s Look Off on High­way 105.
