Ready for the Call

Baddeck Vol. Fire Dept.

BVFD responded to no calls during some of the most serious winter weather to hit Baddeck and area in a long time. In particular no vehicle accidents and no chimney fires. This means that residents are practicing good risk management thus avoiding potential fire hazards during severe weather events. It would have been impossible for many BVFD fire fighters to respond to any emergency as most fire fighters were also snow bound. A big shout out from BVFD to residents for keeping the alarm silent over these past two weeks and for not putting fire fighters at the extreme risk of trying to respond.
