It is with heavy hearts that we an­nounce the death of our mother, grand­mother and sis­ter, Mary Camp­bell, age 55, for­merly of Hunters Moun­tain who lived most of her life in North Syd­ney. Mary passed away on Mon­day, October 2, 2017 at the Vic­to­ria Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal in Hal­i­fax. Born in Bad­deck on March 27, 1962, she was the daugh­ter of the Mar­garet (Ma­cleod) and Stan­ley Camp­bell. Mary al­ways had a smil­ing face for ev­ery­one and a help­ing hand for all those in need. She loved to knit, play TV bingo, walk­ing and in her younger years she played the pi­ano and was in­volved in the 4H Club and High­land Danc­ing. Mary is sur­vived by her four lov­ing chil­dren, Joanie (Derek), Cory, Kath­lene, all of Truro and Car­son (Brant Porter), Cal­gary; her three beau­ti­ful grand­chil­dren she loved and talked about dearly and were her pride and joy, Katie Burns, James John­son, Ri­ley Mac­mullin. She is also sur­vived by her sis­ters, Joanie (Car­lie) Mac­neil, Iona, Linda (John) Maciver, Mack­in­nons Harbour and Patsy (Charles) Ma­cleod, Big Bras d’or; half-sis­ter, Joan Mac­queen, Brant­ford, and half-brother, Don­ald Davis, North Syd­ney, and by her lov­ing com­pan­ion, Ray­mond An­der­son, and nieces and neph­ews. She will be missed by her cat, “Mit­tens” who she loved dearly.

Be­sides her par­ents, she was pre­de­ceased by her half-brother, Billy Davis, and half-sis­ter, Dolores Davis. Visitation for Mary was held on Thurs­day. A fu­neral ser­vice was held at St. Giles Pres­by­te­rian, North Syd­ney with Rev. Ritchie Robin­son of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial fol­lowed in Lake­side Ceme­tery, North Syd­ney.
