Bad­deck Rugby Club win first game since re­form­ing

The Bad­deck Rugby Club took part in the 42nd An­nual Truro In­door Rugby 7’s Tour­na­ment March 9-10. They were joined by 59 other teams from prov­inces from here to Al­berta. Bad­deck tied for second place in their pool, win­ning their first game since the team’s re­vival in 2014. The tour­na­ment started in 1977. The Bad­deck club played through­out the 1970s and 80s and then went on hia­tus un­til 2014. Five play­ers from Bad­deck (1st on left, Scott Wil­liamson; 6th from left, Robin Stu­art; 7th from left, Mark Rod­den; 2nd from right, Doug Ronne; far right, Brock Fownes)were joined by play.ers from the Cale­do­nia Rugby Club in Glace Bay and the Char­lot­te­town-based P.E.I.
