Af­firm­ing cer­e­mony at Green­wood United Church

On Nov. 4, mem­bers of the Green­wood United Church con­gre­ga­tion and in­vited guests gath­ered to cel­e­brate the church's acheive­ment of be­com­ing an Af­firm­ing Min­istry - one in­ten­tion­ally open and invit­ing of peo­ple of all sex­ual ori­en­ta­tion and gen­der iden­ti­ties. Green­wood be­comes the far­thest east­ern church in Canada with the Affirm United recog­ni­tion. Pre­sent­ing a cer­tifi­cate of recog­ni­tion to Af­firm­ing com­mit­tee mem­ber Graeme Fownes (cen­tre) is Nancy Cor­ri­gan of In­ver­ness-guys­bor­ough Pres­bytery (cen­tre right).
