Jacob Richler has not considered the sheer number of mouths to feed when he suggests we should cook with wild meat (“Kill What You Eat,” May). When something becomes popular, it can quickly go extinct. Wild salmon are disappeari­ng, much like the cod that were lost decades ago off the East Coast. In northern Alberta, game wardens are run ragged trying to keep up with poachers. Please, let’s not encourage more of this.
