Police constable’s case adjourned
The case of a Niagara Regional Police constable alleged to have pointed a gun at a fellow officer has been adjourned to next year. The issue was before an Ontario Court of Justice in St. Catharines Monday, but adjourned to Jan. 9. Candace Wilson, a six-year veteran of the police force, was arrested in February in connection with an incident inside the former Niagara Falls police station. She is charged with pointing a firearm. Wilson, who did not appear in court Monday, was previously arraigned on two Police Services Act charges, both for discreditable conduct, related to the alleged incident. Her Police Services Act hearing will be heard Jan. 10. She was reassigned to administrative duties following her arrest.
