Top squash pros com­pet­ing at White Oaks

St. Catharines na­tive Nick Sachvie, the top-ranked Cana­dian in the Pro­fes­sional Squash As­so­ci­a­tion men’s top 100, is back home this week­end com­pet­ing in the Court Classic at White Oaks Re­sort and Spa. Sachive, ranked 65th in the world, en­ters the five-day tour­na­ment at the multi-court fa­cil­ity in Ni­a­gara-on-the-Lake seeded sec­ond. Also in the field is the en­tire Cana­dian na­tional men’s team as well as more than 100 am­a­teur play­ers. Ten of the top 100 men’s play­ers in the world will be com­pet­ing, in­clud­ing Sean De­lierre from Mon­treal, Mike McCue from Sud­bury and An­drew Sch­nell from Cal­gary. Along with Sachvie the three will rep­re­sent Canada at the World Team Squash Cham­pi­onships in Mar­seille, France, later this year. The tour­na­ment is be­ing pre­sented by Per­for­mance Acura and Black Knights Rac­quets. Ad­mis­sion is free.
