Cards games will be held in St. Michael’s Church Hall, Park Dr. on Tues­days, Nov. 14, Nov. 28 and Dec. 5. Lunch is in­cluded. Games start at 7:30 p.m.

The Kins­men Club of Corner Brook will be host­ing their an­nual Se­niors Christ­mas Party at the Royal Cana­dian Le­gion on Dec. 8, 7-11 p.m. Free ad­mis­sion. Ev­ery­one is wel­come.

RUG HOOK­ERS

SUP­PORT GROUP

The Western Brain In­jury Stroke Sur­vivor (WBISS) sup­port group meets ev­ery sec­ond Tues­day from 1:30-3 p.m. The meet­ings are held at the Pol­lett Room at Corner Brook City Hall. This is a small, in­ti­mate group that fo­cuses on sup­port, growth and heal­ing. Feel free to join us. Re­fresh­ments will be served.

CARD GAMES

The Mount Mo­riah Recre­ational Com­mit­tee will hold weekly card games, 8 p.m. ev­ery Tues­day night at the Mount Mo­riah Com­mu­nity Hall.

AL-ANON GROUPS

Al-Anon Fam­ily Groups are a fel­low­ship of rel­a­tives and friends of al­co­holics who share their ex­pe­ri­ence strength and hope in or­der to solve their com­mon prob­lem. Al-Anon meet­ings take place in Corner Brook on Tues­day evenings at 8:30 pm, at Holy Redeemer Church base­ment, Mount Bernard Road and on Thurs­day morn­ings at 11 a.m. at St John the Evan­ge­list Church base­ment on Main St.

AR­TI­CLES NEEDED

The Sal­va­tion Army is look­ing for do­na­tions. It is in need of skates, win­ter boots, coats, house­hold items, linens and men’s cloth­ing.

JAZZ EN­SEM­BLE

The Corner Brook Jazz En­sem­ble under the di­rec­tion of Aga Smies, is avail­able to sup­port good causes and park con­cert. The band is al­ways in­ter­ested in at­tract­ing ma­ture and skilled mu­si­cians play­ing in­stru­ments fit­ting in a big band. DO­NA­TIONS WANTED

The Sal­va­tion Army Thrift Store at 6 Her­ald Ave., is ask­ing for your do­na­tions of good qual­ity, gen­tly used cloth­ing. Your faith­ful sup­port helps the thrift store and helps oth­ers within the com­mu­nity. Do­na­tions are ac­cepted at the store Mon­day to Fri­day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A bin is pro­vided for af­ter hours cloth­ing do­na­tions only.

RO­TARY CLUB of HUM­BER

Any­one wish­ing to be­come in­volved in the club or one of its many char­i­ta­ble projects is wel­come to drop in to the club’s weekly meet­ing held Tues­day evenings, 6 p.m. at the Green­wood Inn and Suites.

There is bingo ev­ery Wed­nes­day at the Elks Lodge, Car­men Av­enue. Door opens at 7 p.m. Bingo starts at 8 p.m.
