6:10 AM | A 51-year-old Wellesley Township man was travelling northbound on Kressler Road near Benjamin Road in Wellesley Township when a deer ran from the side of the road and struck the passenger side of his white Chevrolet van. There were no reported injuries to the driver, but the condition of the deer was unknown. 1:20 PM | A 36-year-old Port Elgin man was driving a black Honda Civic northbound on Katherine Street near Meadowbrook Place in Woolwich Township when he was rear-ended by a gold Volkswagen Passat being driven by a 22-year-old Kitchener man. No injuries were reported, but the Volkswagen had to be towed from the scene. Its driver was charged with ‘careless driving.’ 9:10 PM | A second carversus-deer was reported at almost the same spot on Kressler Road near Benjamin Road in Wellesley Township. This time, a 39-year-old Moorefield woman was driving a Ford pickup truck northbound on Kressler Road when a deer darted out from a field in front of her vehicle. None of the truck’s three occupants was hurt, but the deer suffered severe injuries.
