6:10 AM | A 51-year-old Welles­ley Town­ship man was trav­el­ling north­bound on Kressler Road near Ben­jamin Road in Welles­ley Town­ship when a deer ran from the side of the road and struck the pas­sen­ger side of his white Chevro­let van. There were no re­ported in­juries to the driver, but the con­di­tion of the deer was un­known. 1:20 PM | A 36-year-old Port El­gin man was driv­ing a black Honda Civic north­bound on Kather­ine Street near Mead­ow­brook Place in Wool­wich Town­ship when he was rear-ended by a gold Volk­swa­gen Pas­sat be­ing driven by a 22-year-old Kitch­ener man. No in­juries were re­ported, but the Volk­swa­gen had to be towed from the scene. Its driver was charged with ‘care­less driv­ing.’ 9:10 PM | A sec­ond carver­sus-deer was re­ported at al­most the same spot on Kressler Road near Ben­jamin Road in Welles­ley Town­ship. This time, a 39-year-old Moore­field woman was driv­ing a Ford pickup truck north­bound on Kressler Road when a deer darted out from a field in front of her ve­hi­cle. None of the truck’s three oc­cu­pants was hurt, but the deer suf­fered se­vere in­juries.
