New culvert on Floradale Rd.
A stretch of Floradale Road will be closed for the better part of two months this summer as Woolwich replaces a culvert north of Sandy Hills Drive.
Work is expected to get underway July 3, finishing around August 28.
Meeting this week, approved spending $739,000 to carry out the replacement of the existing concrete arch structure, which was built in 1913. Steed and Evans will be paid $654,000 to the construction work, while GM BluePlan Engineering will get $73,000 to administer the project.
The culvert crosses a small creek north of Sandy Hills Drive and approximately 425 metres south of Cedar Spring Road.
