Cereaously delicious

Thornhill Post - - Life -

Silo13 is Toronto’s very first bar devoted to cereal. The concept for this buzzy new biz first trickled into the minds of Ariel Kabir and David Cai while they were at a certain Swedish furniture shop. There, a wall showcasing extra screws, bolts and whatnot provided a jumping off point for the concept. Fast-forward two years, and now that same wall is found at 4570 Yonge St., pouring out ce- real rather than hardware. The eatery is about freestyle cerealling: cerealphiles pay a fixed price for a bowl and then pour from the wall at their will. “The wonderful deliciousness and uniqueness of all cereal can really be brought out when it’s mixed up!” says Kabir. Look out for Fruity Pebbles, Chokella and limited edition finds like Cap’n Crunch’s Blueberry Pancake Crunch. Yum!
