Nancy Pickard, the GM, approached them to open a restaurant that would provide fine dining, quality food and service with the comfort of a pub; thus The Auld Spot on Danforth was born. After selling, they continued the concept with The Abbot at 3367 Yonge Street. The Eglinton Way seemed a perfect fit for this style of restaurant and The Abbot on Eglinton has proven this to be true! The restaurant business can be difficult but it comes naturally to Chris and Carrie. Both have been in the business since they were teenagers! Everything served at The Abbot on Eglinton is made in house, from baked breads to locally sourced house butchered meats to delicious desserts. The kitchen team is extremely talented and they elevate simple, traditional dishes into great meals. They offer a wide array of beers on tap and an extensive wine list. Chris and Carrie claim their success is due to a great staff and clientele. "A neighborhood restaurant is measured by its regular clientele.
