On May 11, a male sus­pect was caught steal­ing items from a hard­ware store in Scar­bor­ough and dashed across six lanes of traf­fic, alarm­ing driv­ers. When the po­lice ap­proached him, he had a six-inch knife in his hand and pointed it at the of­fi­cers. He dropped the knife af­ter speak­ing with the of­fi­cers and po­lice charged him with theft, car­ry­ing a con­cealed weapon and more.

is seek­ing York Re­gional Po­lice sus­pects and wit­nesses in re­la­tion to a home in­va­sion rob­bery in Rich­mond Hill. On the morn­ing of May 11, three sus­pects wear­ing black ski masks en­tered the male vic­tim’s apart­ment, de­manded valu­ables and as­saulted him be­fore flee­ing the apart­ment build­ing on foot. The vic­tim, a 37year-old, is suf­fer­ing from non-life-threat­en­ing in­juries. The in­ves­ti­ga­tion is on­go­ing.

Two male sus­pects have been ar­rested for steal­ing a ve­hi­cle from a Rich­mond Hill drive­way. The pickup truck was lo­cated on Bayview Av­enue on May 25, one day af­ter it was re­ported stolen. York Re­gional Po­lice spot­ted the stolen ve­hi­cle on their Air2 heli­copter and fol­lowed it un­til it reached a build­ing at Yonge Street and McNairn Court. The sus­pects got out of the car and broke into a res­i­dence. They were ar­rested with help from the Toronto Po­lice Ser­vice.
